Just this morning, I asked if there was one thing you could change immediately about the way you promote your events, what would it be? But I actually got quite a few questions about what it takes to attract corporate sponsors.

Of course there is more to it than the slide show placed here but here is some food for thought.

Whenever you hear me talk sponsorship (yes, you hear my voice in your head, lol), the first thing you'll hear me say is this: "You've got to know your attendees/tribe/demographic. I'm going to ground and pound that into your mental because sponsors/partners don't buy events, they buy impressions and are looking for ROI. The more you can tell them exactly how your attendees are just like the customers that follow them on their social networks, the more likely you are to get a "YES."
